After Art Spiegelman’s world-famous Holocaust comic “Maus” was removed from eighth grade school reading in the McMinn County, Tennessee school districtnow another graphic novel on this subject targeted by alleged child protectors. A high school on the Atlantic coast of Florida has removed a graphic novel based on Anne Frank’s diary from its library. The Israeli director and screenwriter Ari Folman wrote the award-winning comic version together with the artist David Polonsky as a combination of original text and fictional dialogues. Under the title “The Diary of Anne Frank” it was published in Germany.
