The Berliner crime scene has become more grounded with the addition of the great Corinna Harfouch. She plays Susanne Bonard, known as “Saint Susanne”, who, after years as a lecturer at the police academy, once again takes to the streets to investigate. She has a husband, she has a dog, she seems – no feat – more balanced than her predecessor Nina Rubin (Meret Becker). Their exaltation was designed as a symbol of the constantly excited Moloch Berlin – and especially in the early stages of their work was terribly exhausting.
