Roman “Still awake?” by Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre: What he forgot – culture

Views of a quick moralist: Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre’s novel “Still awake?” does not disappoint any gossip about the acute madness of the Springer group. And no, he hasn’t forgotten the women. Just the literature.

It says there, at the very end of the almost 400 pages: “a little money, a little sex, a little tragedy… and a little perversion.” The ideal mix for a good story, the narrator quotes the great director Helmut Dietlthat’s how he wrote it in the screenplay for “Kir Royal”, and Dietl’s word in God’s ear, especially in Benjamin von Stuckrad-Barre’s, who has always been his, Dietl’s, admirer.
