A few weeks ago, an artistic and intellectual event took place at the Munich Residenztheater demanding “Antigone” out: the tragedy of Sophocles, blended with a rewriting of the play by the philosophy star Slavoj Žižek, staged as a polyphonic whispering and backroom concert of political opinions in a government bunker. If you didn’t always see and understand everything, that was the intention and the coup of the highly complex production by Mateja Koležnik, which has a lasting effect, precisely because you don’t quite see through it and it leaves you with mental tasks.
