Shirin Abu Akleh, the Al Jazeera journalist shot dead during an IDF operation in Jenin, has become an icon with martyr status. On the first anniversary of her death this Thursday, she will be remembered in many places – and the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has presented a report on the occasion Israel makes serious allegations.
