No one escapes the royals: No matter which newspaper you open, the British newspapers are celebrating a form of court reporting that only exists in the United Kingdom.
The week began for the readers of the Sun with a photo of Princess Charlotte. The British tabloid had printed a picture of King Charles’ granddaughter on its front page, along with the words: “Charlotte’s smile for Grandpa”. However, it is doubtful whether the smile was actually meant for grandpa. The photo was taken to mark Charlotte’s eighth birthday, a birthday pic, like every year in early May. But because this May is a special one, I used the Sun the picture as a kind of teaser for what the newspaper still had to offer: a special for the coronation of Charles, on “16 magnificent pages”.
