Friendly, colorful and funny – that’s what the Nana sculptures look like. As fountain figures or sculptures in public spaces, they have been exuding their timeless, friendly hippie flair in many cities for decades. But these gentle giantesses are not that harmless and apolitical. In any case, this is the insight conveyed by the large retrospective of the Nana creator Niki de Saint Phalle, which is equipped with around 100 works from all work phases and is currently in Frankfurt opened.
