There is no other topic in Germany that has been the subject of so long and so bitter a debate as nuclear energy. after the last three nuclear reactors have been shut down and the opponents of nuclear power celebrated their victory parties while the proponents mourned a black day, the matter could finally be put to the test. After all, the decision with which nuclear phase-out to take it really seriously instead of putting it off further, was met by a broad consensus after the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011.
